Kelsey is a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. With a lifelong love for animals and a strong interest in medicine, Kelsey found her calling in veterinary medicine, where she could combine her two greatest passions.
With over a decade of experience in a busy veterinary practice, Kelsey has developed a deep expertise in multiple areas, particularly in feline behavior and dentistry. Recognizing that cats are often misunderstood and underserved, she pursued advanced certification in Feline Behavior through the International Society of Feline Medicine. Her mission is to educate pet owners and fellow professionals on how to better understand and care for cats, improving their lives and strengthening the human-animal bond.
At Birchwood, Kelsey focuses on dental care while also sharing her unique insights into feline behavior, making her an invaluable resource for both the team and our clients. She is also working towards becoming a Certified Shelter Behavior Consultant, further expanding her ability to help animals in need.
Beyond her professional life, Kelsey is an artist and a passionate volunteer, having contributed to animal rescue efforts in countries like Bolivia, Guatemala, and Uganda. Her home is filled with a diverse mix of pets, including dogs, cats, and even a tortoise, all of whom benefit from her expertise in animal behavior and care.
Kelsey’s blend of technical skill, compassion, and commitment to animal welfare makes her a vital part of our team. She’s excited to continue her journey in veterinary medicine, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals and clients she serves.
