Cassandra

Registered Veterinary Technician

Cass has always had a passion for working with animals, a calling that began in her youth when she spent summers on her family’s farm in the Okanagan and volunteered with local rescues. After graduating from Thompson Rivers University’s Veterinary Technology program in 2020, she continued to expand her expertise, completing over 150 hours of additional certifications. Cass is Fear Free certified, Recover CPR trained in both Basic and Advanced life support, and an AAHA certified Diabetes Educator.

Starting her career in 2017 as a kennel attendant, Cass worked her way up to becoming a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT). She has a special interest in senior pets, particularly those with mobility issues, as well as dentistry.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Cass exploring bookstores, mountain biking, or camping with friends. She shares her home with a senior dog named Brodi, two rescue cats, Frankie and Donald, and a rescue Leopard Gecko named Randall. Cass is also known for her spot-on Australian accent and her love for a good pumpkin spice latte—or really, anything with whipped cream.

A huge history enthusiast, Cass dreams of backpacking through Europe and Asia. Her volunteer work with rescue farm animals and veterinary care trips to remote communities has been deeply rewarding, reinforcing her dedication to helping animals in need.
